I am sitting in the Long Island Poetry & Literature Repository. I am thinking how underutilized it is. We do not require a fee to conduct a workshop, reading, lecture, etc. All we ask is, if you and your attendees can afford it, throw a few dollars into the bucket.

I set out to create this center for all who wish to partake in it as their place as well as mine.

We have a great board of directors, and we all want the writing community to share in this vision of OUR place.

A link to our website: Long Island Poetry and Literature Repository. Please look over the pages of it to get a better understanding of who and what we are as an organization.

One, or two, cannot carry the weight, but if we pull together, this vision can thrive and grow.

If you wish to hold a reading(s), lecture(s), or workshop(s), please email me.

The only dates that are not available are:
Poetry Pairs: 3rd Thursdays of each month (September – May)and
Creative Conversations: Wednesdays: November 13, 2024, December 18, 2024, January 15, 2025, February 12, 2025, March 12, 2025, April 23, 2025.

I thank you in advance.

If you have the desire to join us as a member at LIP&LR, we welcome those with the sense of community that is the life force of this group.
